Kpache Eggon is a small rural community located in Abaji Area Council of FCT Abuja, where most families depend on farming and hunting for their daily livelihood. 

For years, the community depended on a contaminated open well shared with animals.The unsafe water was responsible for frequent cholera outbreaks and illness among children, and families had little choice but to continue using it.When Lifewater visited Kpache Eggon and drilled a brand-new borehole for the community, it marked a turning point.The new borehole provided safe and reliable water, ending the community’s reliance on the unsafe open well. Waterborne sickness has reduced drastically, hygiene has improved, and daily life has become easier and more peaceful.
