Impact story
Hossana Baptist Church, located in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State, serves not only as a place of worship but also as a gathering point for many families in the surrounding community. When the borehole fell into disrepair and stopped functioning, the church and the community were left with no reliable source of safe water.
Everyone began depending on a nearby stream that was heavily polluted and unsafe. Both children and elderly people began suffering from frequent sickness and skin infections linked to the contaminated water. Lifewater’s urgent intervention changed everything. The borehole was fully rehabilitated, restoring a safe and reliable water source for the church and community. The contaminated stream has been abandoned, hygiene has improved, and cases of sickness and skin infections are reducing.
