Chini Izom II

Impact story

Chini Izom II is a Gbagyi community in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State, where farming forms the backbone of daily life. The community borehole was their main source of safe water, but when it became dilapidated it was left abandoned for years, making life increasingly difficult. 

With no reliable water source remaining, residents began fetching water from any place they could find. This led to frequent sickness, especially among children, who grew weak and vulnerable from repeated illnesses. 

Lifewater’s timely rehabilitation of the broken borehole restored safe and reliable water after years of hardship. Today, families no longer depend on unsafe water sources, children are becoming healthier, and daily life is easier.
