Impact story

Unique Solid Academy is a growing school in Gwagwalada Area Council where pupils spend much of their day learning, playing, and developing skills for the future. As the number of pupils increased, the need for better sanitation facilities became more pressing. For some time, the school struggled with limited access to suitable toilets. 

During school hours, pupils had to manage with inadequate facilities, creating inconvenience and making proper hygiene difficult to maintain. Teachers also faced the challenge of reinforcing hygiene lessons while the school lacked the facilities to make those lessons practical. 

Lifewater’s construction of a new toilet facility has changed the situation. The school now has a dedicated space that gives pupils greater privacy and makes it easier for them to practise the hygiene habits they are taught in class. The facility has helped the school maintain a more orderly and comfortable environment throughout the day.
