Impact Story

Adogi I is a quiet farming settlement in Lafia East Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, where people depend mostly on their crops and a few small trading activities. 

Water was a serious problem in the community before Lifewater drilled a new borehole. The community depended on a stream that changed with the season, during the dry period, what remained was often unsafe. Children frequently missed school because they had to make several trips to fetch water before the day could even begin, and the unsafe water caused many to fall sick, especially children. 

Safe water flowed for the first time after Lifewater came and drilled a new borehole in the community. The community felt relief and joy, knowing their children could drink safe water and stay healthy. Homes feel more organised, and daily life is no longer built around the struggle to find water.
