Impact Story
Adogi II is a busy settlement where farming and small businesses keep people active throughout the day.
One of the biggest challenges the community faced was getting enough safe water. For a long time, residents relied on a shallow open well that was not protected. During rainy periods, water from the surroundings would flow into it, making it unsafe. Young girls bore a heavy burden, being responsible for fetching water several times a day, which reduced the time they had for school, chores, and rest. Because water had to be used carefully, families often struggled to manage basic hygiene.
Everything started to improve when Lifewater drilled a borehole in Adogi II. Safe water became available within the community, and people no longer had to depend on the unsafe well. Children are healthier, and girls have more time for school and other activities.
