Impact Story
Gidan Mai Akuya III is a neighbouring farming community where access to water had long been a daily struggle.
The community relied on an open well that could not meet the needs of the growing population and often dried up, especially during the dry season. When the well ran low, families struggled to find enough water for drinking, cooking, and farming, and the limited supply was shared among many households. This situation affected hygiene and made daily life stressful, especially for women and children who spent much of their time searching for water.
Lifewater’s new borehole brought a fresh start for the community. Safe water is now available throughout the year, families no longer struggle with shortages during the dry season, and daily routines have become easier.
