Impact Story
Ashige III is a growing community in Lafia East Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, where people work hard on their farms and manage their homes with what they have.
For a long time, water was one of their biggest struggles. The community depended on a shallow water point that did not last throughout the year. During dry periods, women had to wake up very early and sometimes wait for long hours just to collect a small amount, and the place would become crowded. Because water was limited, families could not use it freely, and children missed school due to stomach illnesses caused by the unsafe water.
The situation in the community improved after Lifewater drilled a borehole in Ashige III. Water is now easier to access, families can use it without fear of it running out quickly, illness declined, and hope returned.
