Impact Story
Ogaja is a quiet settlement surrounded by farmland in Lafia East Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, where people live simple lives.
For many years, the community relied on a nearby river that was used for everything: bathing, washing clothes, and drinking. The water was unsafe, and over time, many people, especially children, began to fall sick more often. The community’s daily life was overshadowed by illness and uncertainty.
The situation changed when Lifewater drilled a borehole in the community. Safe water is now available within reach, people no longer depend on the river for drinking, and daily activities are easier to manage. Children are healthier, and families can live without fear of contamination.
