Adogi III is a vibrant community where people depend on daily effort to support their families.
Before the borehole was drilled, the only option for water was a distant source located outside the community. Young girls spent hours each day walking back and forth just to fetch water, returning with heavy containers, exhausted before the rest of the day’s work even began. For school-age girls, the situation was even more difficult; many arrived late to school or missed it completely because of the time spent fetching water.
The long walks became a thing of the past after Lifewater came and drilled a borehole within the community. Water is now close by, and people can fetch it without stress. Girls are able to prepare for school on time, and families can use water more freely for their daily needs.
