World Water Day 2026 “Where Water Flows, Equality Grows
Where Water Flows, Equality Grows”
On March 22, 2026, LifeWater Nigeria brought the global message of World Water Day to life in Petti Community, Kwali Area Council, Federal Capital Territory. The outreach celebration successfully raised awareness about the critical importance of clean water, hygiene, and sanitation, while demonstrating our commitment to transforming lives through sustainable water solutions.
The program began with a warm welcome from the community. The King of Petti expressed deep appreciation for LifeWater Nigeria’s choice of their village, acknowledging our ongoing support in providing clean water access and empowering women and girls through menstruation and sanitation education.
Dr. Kenneth Nteh delivered a powerful keynote on the theme “Where Water Flows, Equality Grows.” He highlighted how reliable access to clean water frees up time for women and children, enabling them to pursue education, economic opportunities, and personal growth instead of spending hours searching for water.
Key activities included:
- Health & Hygiene Session for women, where dignity kits were distributed to support menstrual hygiene and promote better sanitation practices.
- Water Quality Testing of the handpumps provided by Lifewater Nigeria some years ago to ensure the pumps still brings out safe and clean water.
- Sanitation Assessment of toilet facilities built by Lifewater Nigeria some years ago with guidance on continuous maintenance.
- Fun Educational Games for children, who also received gifts that brought joy and excitement to the community.
The event ended on a high note with closing prayers and heartfelt gratitude from community leaders, who commended LifeWater Nigeria for its impactful interventions in clean water provision and sanitation improvement.
This World Water Day celebration reinforced our mission: clean water is not just a necessity — it is the foundation of equality, dignity, and community progress.
LifeWater Nigeria remains committed to ensuring every community has access to safe water and the knowledge to sustain it. Together, we are building a future where water truly flows, and equality grows.
