Impact Story
Women Educational Centre in Nasarawa State serves as a place of learning, growth, and empowerment for women and girls striving to improve their lives through education. Every day, learners gather with hope and determination, eager to gain knowledge and skills.
However, the lack of a toilet facility affected daily activities. Women were forced to seek privacy in unsafe and uncomfortable places, which disrupted learning and exposed them to health risks. This challenge often discouraged long hours of study and reduced confidence.
The provision of a newly constructed latrine by Lifewater marked a meaningful turning point. The facility has created a safer and more dignified environment for women to learn without fear, discomfort, or shame. Hygiene has improved, attendance has increased, and the centre now feels more welcoming. Today, the women express heartfelt gratitude for recognizing their need and responding with compassion.
