The dry season in Lawal Gwadabe School is a time of drought and extreme heat. The pond and hand-dug wells would dry up, leaving residents with no safe water. The hot weather is intense, and hydration is worse due to lack of water to drink, cook, and bathe.
During our visit, the hand pump that was in a state of disrepair for over one year was rehabilitated. Our intervention came when the pupils had lost hope of getting help. The donation has brought joy to the school community. The school children and community can now face the next dry season without fear.
