N23-R084 Kuyanbana

Kuyanbana is an extension of the fast-growing Sabon Wuse community. Many people have taken advantage of the community’s proximity to Abuja because of its low cost of living. 

Before our intervention, the community depended on ponds, hand-dug wells, and water vendors.  

We replaced two hand pumps in Kuyanbana before; even so, the community needed additional rehab because of the large population and overburden of the two hand pumps, which led to limited access to water, in-fighting, and conflicts among residents.   

With the rehabilitation of an additional broken hand pump, there is water and much joy in the community. The community is grateful to the donors for giving them water and bringing peace to the community.
