Angwan Hakemi is a layout in a densely populated Sabon Wuse community along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway. The community depended on a distant river and open hand-dug wells as water sources.

For many years the community has been in dire need of safe water after their hand pump got spoilt.

The community river they rely on is highly associated with the risk of diarrhea and other water-borne diseases in the community. Even trekking to the river is a terrifying experience due to the activities of bandits.

With the rehab, the community now has clean water for every household and can draw safe water without fear of infection or attack by bandits.
