Angwan Galadima Community hand pump has been in disrepair for three years. During this period, women and children carried the burden of drawing water from a distant river or waiting for the water to recharge from a few hand-dug wells in the community.

Because the hand-dug wells are shallow and uncovered, they have become a source of diseases for many in the community.

With the rehab of the hand pump, safe water is now available in the community a few distances from most homes.
