The water crisis has left the residents of the Shetugo community deeply divided. No day went without fighting among residents for water. Before our intervention, the community depended on one hand pump and a distant river. Three-hand pumps were in disrepair but abandoned because of infighting among the residents.

The rehab of three hand pumps highlighted the significance of our impact in providing safe water and also as peacebuilders in many communities in Nigeria. Through the love and generosity of donors, we halted the erosion of social cohesion in the Shetugo community, and today there is water and peace in the community.
