| The New Kutunku ECWA Road community is in a severe water crisis since the hand pump broke down. The community is a slum where girls regularly get sexually molested while the run errands including water collection.
One commonality with water scarcity is that it makes women and girls vulnerable to assaults and attacks. In New Kutunku ECWA Road, criminal elements and sex offenders will hide in a cryptic area to take advantage of women and girls with buckets or bowls of water. This month, we rehabilitated the community broken hand pump abandoned for many months. With this intervention, incidences of attacks and sexual molestation will reduce tremendously. |
