Elle 2, a serene community in Kwali Area Council, FCT Abuja, is home to families who primarily speak Gbagyi and Hausa. The residents sustain themselves through farming, small livestock rearing, and running small trading businesses. Life in the community is simple but busy. Despite this sense of togetherness, access to safe water was a persistent challenge. Before Lifewater’s intervention, residents relied on a single, aging borehole that had broken down. Without a functional water source, families were forced to use open wells and ponds shared with animals. This situation led to increased cases of illness, especially among children, and many young girls missed school to help with water collection. Lifewater restored hope to the community by rehabilitating the borehole in Elle 2, providing the community with a reliable source of safe water. Today, households have easier access to safe water, children can focus on school, hygiene practices have improved significantly and waterborne diseases has reduced. Daily chores became less taxing, and children, particularly girls, are now more consistent in attending school. The community of Elle 2 expresses heartfelt gratitude for the borehole rehabilitation, which has brought We, the entire people of Elle 2 community, write to thank Lifewater for rehabilitating our borehole. May God continue to bless Lifewater. Yours faithfully, Bulus Samuel 09156549307
