Tsauni is a modest community within Gwagwalada Area Council, FCT Abuja, where the COCIN Church has long served as a gathering point for worship and community meetings. For years, the church and its surrounding area struggled with poor sanitation. With no proper toilets, people resorted to open defecation behind bushes and nearby farmlands, leaving the environment unpleasant and unsafe. The situation became particularly troubling during church services and community programs. Children fell ill often, and the spread of diarrhea and typhoid became an unspoken concern among families. When Lifewater intervened with the construction of a new, clean, and durable latrine for the church and surrounding community, it brought not just relief—but a sense of dignity. Members can now attend services and gatherings without embarrassment or fear of disease. The church compound, once surrounded by foul smells, now looks tidy and welcoming. Members of COCIN Church expressed heartfelt gratitude to Lifewater, and all who made this possible. They pray that the kindness shown to their community will return in many blessings.
