Campani

Impact story

Campani is a quiet farming community in Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State, where families live in small compounds surrounded by fields. For many years, the community’s borehole served as the main source of safe water, but when it became damaged and stopped functioning, residents were left with no reliable alternative.

Families turned to open wells scattered around the village. The water was unsafe, with frogs often seen inside the wells, yet the people continued to use it because they had no other choice. As time passed, the unsafe water began to affect the health of the community, and children and adults frequently suffered from sickness.

Relief finally came when Lifewater arrived and rehabilitated the damaged borehole. Safe water began flowing again within the community. Families no longer depend on the unsafe open wells, health has improved, and daily life has become more stable.
